Suspect Sought In Campbellsport Burglary

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee says they are looking for a 45-year-old Jefferson man suspected of breaking into the Ben Franklin True Value Hardware Store in Campbellsport early last Sunday morning. He says two of their deputies saw a suspicious vehicle while they were patrolling and were able to link it to Daniel L. Johnson who has a criminal record. He says the deputies were Logan Will and Michael Vis. He says Detectives Pete Vergos and Greg Deike are investigating the burglary. The investigation led to a storage unit in Dane County. A search warrant was executed and a number of the stolen items from the store were recovered. Taken in the January 3rd burglary were power tools, tool kits, other tools and cash was taken from a safe that was entered. A warrant has been issued for Johnson’s arrest.
