Suspect Still Sought In Sunday Morning Chase

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies are still searching for a suspect following a pursuit early Sunday morning. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop Sunday March 14, 2021 at approximately 2:53 a.m. The vehicle was apparently being stopped for an equipment violation. The incident occurred on Weber Rd. at Washington St. in the Town of Calumet.

The suspect fled at a high rate of speed northbound on Washington St. into Calumet County, turning into an address on Washington St. and continuing through a farm yard. The vehicle came to a stop with the suspect taking off on foot from that location. A perimeter was set up and a K9 track was attempted by Calumet County deputies. The property owner granted access to the property with deputies searching all the buildings on the property. The driver was not apprehended at the time and is still at large.

Assisting in the pursuit were the Calumet Sheriff’s Office, along with their K9 Unit, and New Holstein PD. The pursuit covered a distance of approximately 1 mile.

The pursuit remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
