Teen Arrested For Theft From St. Lawrence Seminary

(Update 8:45 a.m.)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a 15-year-old freshman at St. Lawrence Seminary was arrested last week in connection with a theft at the school.  Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig says the boy, who is from Milwaukee, hasn’t been charged for setting the recent fire that destroyed St. Joseph’s Hall, but the money was taken from the area where the fire was. Information on the arrest wasn’t released until Friday morning because of the ongoing investigation. Olig says for now the youth is facing burglary and theft charges through Juvenile Court and was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. He says the fire is considered suspicious. Meanwhile anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department directly or call their tip line at (920) 906-4777. Forty-one different fire departments and agencies responded to the March 8th fire. No one was hurt during the blaze.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say investigators learned last week money was missing from the seminary and they’ve arrested a 15-year-old freshman in connection with the theft. The student had cash, which was consistent with the missing amount. He was taken to the Fond du Lac County Juvenile detention center on theft and burglary charges. He’s not charged for the setting the fire, but it’s considered suspicious in nature. Investigators learned about the missing money on Thursday, March 13th. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office directly or should call the Tip Line at 906-4777.
