Teifke Resigns From FDL School Board

Fond du lac School District Board of Education member Nick Teifke resigned from his position on the Board effective August 30, 2021.

A press release issued by Nicole Noonan with the Fond du Lac School District announced the resignation Monday afternoon. Teifke was elected to the Board of Education in 2019.

“On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to thank outgoing Board Member Nick Teifke for his service to the Fond du Lac School District,” said Mark Jurgella, President of the Board of Education.

In his resignation letter, Nick Teifke cited personal reasons for his decision and indicated that, “I regret the decisions I made have negatively impacted personal and professional relationships for myself and my family.”

“When I first decided to run for this position, I saw a school district full of amazing educators who passionately care for our children,” said Teifke. “I want to thank all of the staff and teachers for all their hard work.”

The Board of Education will proceed with filling the Board vacancy created by Teifke’s resignation following state statutes and District policies. This is the second resignation in less than a week, following the resignation of Mark Strand last week.

Information regarding the process to fill the Board vacancy can be found on the District’s website: www.fonddulac.k12.wi.us.
