Temps Rise, But COVID-19 Numbers Stay Cool

As the temps rose, the
COVID-19 numbers remained relatively cool in Fond du Lac County
on Tuesday. Public Health Officer Kim Mueller reported just 2 new confirmed
cases, while the active cases dropped to 48, and hospitalizations were at 3.
There are now 221 people that have recovered from the coronavirus, and almost
7,800 negative tests returned, including almost 400 on Tuesday alone. 


Statewide, there were over 11,000 tests returned on Tuesday, with 266
new confirmed cases, a rate of 2.4% positive, which is the lowest rate in a
week. As of Tuesday, there were 275 patients hospitalized, the lowest total
since early April. 100 of those patients remain in ICU. The state has now seen
23,198 positive tests, and over 414,000 negative tests since the start of the
pandemic.
