Thiesfeldt Comments On Resolution Condemning Hate Group Violence

Before taking their vote on a Foxconn bill last week the Wisconsin Assembly passed a resolution condemning the hatred and violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. A woman was killed when a car drove into a crowd during a hate group’s rally. State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says there are a number of hate groups in the country, but the 1st Amendment gives them the right to say what they want to say even if most people don’t agree with it. The resolution urged people to accept our differences, but it also condemns violence like what was seen in Virginia. Thiesfeldt says it is also unfortunate that President Trump didn’t choose his words more carefully when he commented on the violence in Charlottesville.
