Threats At FDL And Mayville High Schools

A 17-year-old Fond du Lac High School Student is charged with making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct after a statement was overheard by another student Thursday that was perceived as a threat. It was reported to a staff member. High School Principal Michelle Hagen says the student was immediately identified and an investigation was conducted by school officials and School Resource Officers. The 17-year-old boy was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Hagen says at no time were any students or staff in danger. In a voicemail sent out to parents she said all threats are taken seriously by the School District, and Fond du Lac Police. She urged parents to speak to their children about the serious consequences of making a threat.  Mayville Police Thursday night dealt with a 15-year-old Mayville High School student who left a note that also was perceived as a threat. The student told them it was a prank.
