Three Charged In Fox Lake Murder

A 36-year-old Fox Lake man, his mother and his mother’s boyfriend have been charged in the death of a Fox Lake woman. Bond was set at $200,000 cash for LaVerne Ware Jr. who is suspected of hiding the corpse of his live-in girlfriend Sesalie Dixon whose body was found in the cab of a pickup truck inside a garage at the Vernon Mickey property. That 57-year-old Fox Lake man is charged with aiding a felon as is 64-year-old Marjorie Jones of Fox Lake who lives with Mickey and is Ware’s mother. Mickey was released on a $5,000 signature bond. He eventually reported the murder even though Ware threatened not to leave any witnesses. Ware told Jones about the murder and she was uncooperative with investigators. Her bond was set at $25,000 cash. Dixon was killed early last Saturday night.  She and Ware had a rocky relationship during the five years they were together. Ware and Jones have preliminary hearings next week. Mickey’s preliminary hearing is next month.
