Three Injured in Town of Theresa Crash

Three people, including a child, were injured in a two-vehicle
crash in the Town of Theresa Sunday afternoon. The Dodge County Sheriff’s
Office responded to the scene at the intersection of State Highways 28, 67 and
175 north of the Village of Theresa just before 3pm. Authorities say a car
traveling west on Highway 28 entered the intersection in front of a car
traveling north on Highway 28/67/175. A 35-year-old man from Reeseville was driving
the westbound car. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries
that were not life-threatening. A child passenger in that car was taken to a
children’s hospital with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. A
60-year-old woman from Theresa was the driver of the northbound car. She was
taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Dodge
County Deputies say failing to yield the right of way from a stop sign and lack
of restraint use are initial causes to the crash and the seriousness of injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the Theresa
Fire Department and EMS, Mayville EMS, City of Fond du Lac Paramedics, Theresa
Police Department and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
