Three Vehicle Crash Injures Three

Three people were injured following a Sunday afternoon accident on Hwy. 23 near Mt. Calvary.

The three-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 23 and Highway W, around 3:30 p.m., when one vehicle being driven by a 56-year old male, failed to yield to traffic and failed to obey traffic signs in a work area.

A 41-year old operator of one of the other vehicles suffered possible broken ribs and a broken left forearm. A nine-year old female suffered what appeared to be a broken right leg, while another 5-year old female passenger suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to St. Agnes Hospital by ambulance. The matter remains under investigation.
