Top Seed Kiel Bounced in State Semifinal

The Praire School 2 Kiel 2 Shootout 4-3

Coach Pritchard: “First I would like to thank my AD–Steve Walsh, the entire Kiel Community, and the Kiel Youth Soccer Club that have made this awesome season happen for OUR Kiel Raiders High School Girls Soccer Team.
We played our hearts out today and left everything out on the pitch.  We came up just one game short of making OUR goal of making the state championship match.  Taylor Schad opened up our beautiful day with another stunningly fast goal at 2:28 into the match and assisted by her powerful teammate Abby Moore.  Our next goal was scored in the second half by Grace McDole, our official new best goal crasher/scorer on the team–wrecking ball, assisted by Abby Moore.
The match was tied up in the 78 minute by a referee who controls the game through a whistle rather than players will and skill.  We gave up a goal and eventually lost to The Prairie School in a shoot-out at the end of the match.
Proud of OUR team’s accomplishments and we have a new goal for next season that’s attainable with all the communities support–thank you for a great season–Coach Pritchard and Coach Goebel.”
