Incumbent Taycheedah Town Board supervisors John Abler and Jim Rosenthal defeated challengers Bob Norris and David Howell in Tuesday’s election. It was the final result posted on the County’s website just before midnight. County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says Town Clerk Brenda Schneider contacted her and said there was a huge line of voters waiting to cast their ballot at the Town Hall well after the polls closed. In addition about 180 absentee ballots also had to be put through the voting machine. In Villages Races John Duffy and Keith King won election to the North Fond du Lac Village Board and incumbents Daniel Redman, Chris Cook and Jim Eckburg won reelection to the Oakfield Village Board.

Oshkosh Schools Referendum Passes

The Oshkosh Schools Referendum passed Tuesday. The school district asked permission to exceed their revenue cap by $4 million a year for 7 years or a total of $28 million. Over 17,000 district voters said yes and a little under 12,000 voted no.
