Town of Friendship House Fire

A home
in the Town of Friendship
sustained ‘extensive damage’ in a fire Tuesday evening. The Fond du Lac County
Sheriff’s Office along with fire departments from The City and Town of Fond du Lac, Van Dyne and North Fond
du Lac responded to the home at W7133 Phoenix Drive. Investigators say
the fire appears to have started because of a movable fire pit that was being
used in the yard earlier in the evening and then moved closer to the home. The
fire started near the deck and spread along the exterior of the home. The
damage to the home may render it a total loss. Everyone inside the home as well
as several pets were able to escape safely without injury.
