Treatment Facility Director Says Meth Is A Nasty Drug

The executive director of a treatment facility in Fond du Lac says residents should take warnings about methamphetamine seriously. Mary Gerlach of the Beacon House says they have treated women who have meth addictions. Risky behavior leads to trying heroin, which can lead to addiction. But Gerlach says they are seeing a change to meth and it is a nasty addiction and much worse than heroin. They are also having issues with drug endangered children whether the children are present while the drug is being made or used or mom or dad takes them on a car ride to bigger cities to pick up their meth. Gerlach says meth is also dangerous because of the materials that are used to make it.
