Trial Set for Driver in Fatal Car Vs. Train Crash

A trial has been set to begin in April in connection to a fatal car versus train drunk driving crash in Oshkosh last year. Shawn Schettle is facing eight charges, including two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, Schettle borrowed a car without a valid license – and gave police several stories about what happened. He admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking vodka before the crash, and showed a blood alcohol level of .074, which is not admissible evidence in court.
