Tuesday Afternoon Accident In Fond du Lac Results In Fatality

A 33-year old area man is dead following an accident Tuesday afternoon in Fond du Lac. The accident occurred in the 700 block of S. Military Ave., near the Ole Bread Box, and involved a vehicle striking a light pole. The call came into the Fond du Lac Police Department just after 4:30 p.m., with a passerby notifying officers that the car struck a pole, but they were not certain as to the extent of the injuries. As of Wednesday afternoon there was no specific cause for the accident, and the matter remains under investigation.
