Tuesday Morning Fire Causes Extensive Damage, No Injuries, In FDL

The investigation is underway for the cause of an early morning house fire in Fond du Lac. Fire/Rescue crews were called out at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday morning, to a two-story house fire at 224 Doty St. 


Police officers were first on the scene, and saw smoke and fire exiting the 2nd floor of the residence. Fire/Rescue crews were able to extinguish the blaze and confirm the house was not inhabited at the time of the fire. The structure was under remodeling at the time of the blaze. There were no injuries reported as a result of the blaze, but there was extensive damage to the roof and the 2nd floor. The cause of the fire is not known at this time, but is under investigation by FDL Police and Fire.
