Two Arrested after High Speed Chase in FDL County

Two people
were arrested following a high speed chase through portions of Fond du Lac
County Saturday evening. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department,
deputies were called just after 5:30 pm to assist Ripon Police in pursuit of a vehicle
that they had tried to pull over on a traffic stop. That chase was ended by deputies.
Later, a deputy in the area saw a car traveling 91 miles per hour on Center
Road that was found to be the same car from the earlier pursuit. Deputies
pursued the car for 14 miles and also used a tire deflation device. The chase
ended at County Highway TC and State Highway 26 when a deputy used his squad
car to force the suspect off the road.  A
23 year old Waupun man was the driver, he fled on foot but was later
apprehended. He faces multiple charges, including fleeing an officer,
recklessly endangering safety, operating after revocation and possession of
THC. The passenger, an 18 year old female from Pine River was also taken into
custody on an outstanding warrant. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the
scene and will be investigating the crash.
