Two Arrested Following Lengthy Standoff
Two people are in custody following an eleven
hour standoff in
Officers and a SWAT team arrived at a home around 7:30pm Thursday evening after
a patrol officer recognized 25-year old Sebastian Endres at the house. Endres had
felony warrants for his arrest. His 28-year old girlfriend Courtney Vera also
had multiple warrants.
Police used non-lethal devices like foam-tipped baton
grenades and flashbangs in efforts to drive them out of the home. Vera
surrendered after gas munitions were used – but Endres barricaded himself in
the attic.
Police say Endres had also reportedly been using heroin before the
incident, and a loaded handgun was found nearby. They eventually took Endres
into custody around 5:45am Friday morning.
