Two FDL Police Squad Cars Hit

A 27-year-old Fond du Lac woman was injured when a vehicle ran into two City squad cars that had conducted a traffic stop on West Johnson Street near North Seymour Street Friday night. The woman had been taken into custody and was in the back seat of one of the squad cars when a 79-year-old Fond du Lac man struck the squad cars from behind with his vehicle. Officer Kari Gordee was able to pull another occupant of the vehicle they stopped out of the way before the older man’s vehicle careened into the squads. The woman who was in the squad car was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries. No officers were hurt in the crash.  The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the accident at the request of the police department. The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. Friday evening.
