Two Men Arrested for Thefts from FDL Car Dealership

Two men have been arrested in connection to a group of thefts
from a Fond du Lac car dealership.

Fond du Lac Police say they received complaints from Summit
Automotive on Wednesday and Thursday this week of someone cutting off catalytic
converters and other exhaust equipment on vehicles within their lot. Assistant
Police Chief Steve Klein tells us it appears two trucks were damaged on the 14th
and another two on the 15th.

Early Friday morning, around 12:50 AM, officers were called
to the dealership when an employee saw two suspicious people in the lot that began
to cut additional converters from vehicles. Police arrived and took a a
42-year-old Milwaukee man and a 30-year-old West Bend man into custody. Both
men face multiple counts of felony theft, and are believed to have been
involved in similar incidents that happened in the Sheboygan area. Police are
continuing their investigation into the thefts.
