Two Retiring FDL Employees Recognized At City Council Meeting

Two longtime employees of the City of Fond du Lac were recognized with proclamations during the City Council meeting this week. Karl Kissinger was with the Fire and Rescue Department for 25 years and eight months retiring as a Fire Engineer. Hal Wortman was the City’s Director of Administration retiring after 14 years and 5 months with the City. Kissinger said the proclamation meant a lot to him and talked about the camaraderie of those he worked with. Wortman said Fond du Lac is a great organization. He also talked about the great people he had a chance to work with. Both men also received keys to the City. Wortman’s family attended the Council meeting and a family of firefighters attended to see Kissinger honored. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue photos.
