Two-Vehicle Accident In Fox Lake Sends One To Hospital

A Saturday morning accident in Fox Lake involving an SUV and a semi-truck results in one driver being sent to the hospital.

Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to calls of a multiple-vehicle accident Saturday morning just before 8:30 a.m., on Highway A at the intersection of Highway C in Fox Lake.

Preliminary investigation showed that a Jeep being driven by a 77-year old female was traveling west on Hwy. C and approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Hwy. A, when it failed to stop at the stop sign and traveled into the path of the semi.

The female driver and sole occupant of the Jeep was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital and then flown by a Medflight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The 48-year old driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.

The highway was closed for almost 5 hours while the scene was cleared and the crash investigated.

Assistance at the scene was provided by Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Medflight, DCERT and the Dodge County Highway Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
