Two-Vehicle Accident Sends Three To Hospital, One Via Helicopter

A Wednesday morning accident in Fond du Lac County results in one person being airlifted by helicopter due to injures. The incident occurred October 6, 2021 at 8:11 AM.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Campbellsport Ambulance, Campbellsport Fire Department, Eden Fire Department, Eden First Responders and Theda Star Medical Helicopter were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on CTH W at CTH F, in the town of Eden, located in Fond du Lac County.  

The investigation showed that an eastbound SUV, driven by a 27-year-old male from Belleville, failed to stop at the stop sign on CTH F, and was struck by a southbound pickup truck driven by a 27-year-old female from Eden. The SUV overturned and came to rest in a cornfield on the southeast corner of the intersection. The pickup truck came to rest in the southeast ditch of the intersection.  

The 27-year-old male operator of the SUV was extricated from his vehicle and transported by Theda Star Medical Helicopter to Theda Care Regional Medical Center- Neenah with serious injuries. The 27-year-old female operator of the pickup truck along with her 5-month-old child were transported by Campbellsport Ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital where they were treated and released.

The intersection of CTH W and CTH F was closed for approximately 35 minutes while Theda Star Medical Helicopter was on scene. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
