Two Week Jury Trial Set For FDL Murder Suspect

A 10-day jury trial has been scheduled for a 38-year-old Fond du Lac woman accused of murdering her husband. The trial for Eve Nance is set in June. Meanwhile she won’t be allowed to have contact with her sister. For the second time in the past year Fond du Lac County Judge Gary Sharpe denied a motion from the lawyer for Eve Nance that would have allowed her to have contact with her sister Tina Ewell. The motion hearing was held Tuesday morning. District Attorney Eric Toney says he and Deputy District Attorney Dennis Krueger opposed the motion and the judge agreed. In November of 2013 both women were facing possible hiding a corpse and obstruction charges when Timothy Nance couldn’t be located. However Eve Nance eventually told investigators she had dumped his body in some woods in Milwaukee and charges against Ewell were dropped. Nance is suspected of shooting her husband to death in the bathroom of their home on November 1st of 2013. She reported him missing several days later.
