U.S. Bank Supports Project: Forward Fond du Lac

The Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce Project: Forward Fond du Lac (formerly Assimilation Group) recently received a $7,500 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation.  This generous financial contribution will go directly to addressing issues impacting workforce development, attraction and retention in the Fond du Lac community.

The U.S. Bank Foundation generously funds many nonprofit organizations in the communities it serves, ensuring that the mission of U.S. Bancorp continues: “to build strong partnerships and lasting value in our communities by supporting organizations that: improve the educational and economic opportunities of low- and moderate-income individuals and families and enhance the cultural and artistic life of the communities in which we live and work.”

Project: Forward Fond du Lac is a division of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce.  Comprised of business persons, educators and government officials, its goals are: (1) to develop and recruit local talent; (2) to attract new (non-local) workers to the Fond du Lac area; (3) to retain both local and non-local talent.  The group is chaired by Mike Frydryk, Vice President of HR and Organizational Development at the Kondex Corporation.

“We are excited to be able to contribute to this cause,” explained Kim Schmitz, Vice President and District Manager at U.S. Bank – Fond du Lac.  “The efforts of Project: Forward Fond du Lac align with our mission and help to ensure that Fond du Lac remains a viable location for businesses, individuals and families to thrive.”

“Project: Forward Fond du Lac will play a crucial role in the continued advancement of this community,” explained Joe Reitemeier, President and CEO of the Fond du Lac Area Association.  “The support and financial contributions of U.S. Bank and other area businesses ensure that this workforce initiative will have the resources it needs to provide creative solutions and opportunities in the Fond du Lac community.”
