Unemployment Claims Up For Last Week

Unemployment claims in Wisconsin were up last week. The Department of Workforce Development said 14,605 initial applications had been filed for the week ending August 14. That’s compared to just over 14,000 the week before. Overall, there were 172,807 weekly claims filed in the same time period. Approximately 492,650 claimants have been paid over $3.42 billion since March 15.
