Unemployment Rates Increase
The City and County of Fond du Lac still have low unemployment rates, but with more people entering the workforce last month the unemployment rates increased. According to Federal labor statistics the City’s jobless rate increased from 2.5 percent in May to 3.3 percent last month. The County’s unemployment grew from 2.4 percent in May to 3.1 percent in June. Both of those rates are at least a full percentage point lower than in June of 2016.
