United Way Campaign At Halfway Point

The Fond du Lac Area United Way has reached the halfway point in its effort to raise $770,000 for this fall’s campaign. United Way Executive Amber Kilawee says it is a bit of a challenge to raise funds when so many other non-profit organizations are asking for donations this time of year. She is thrilled that they have reached the halfway point in their campaign. This year’s senor pacesetter for the campaign is Fox Valley Savings Bank. Steve Schmudlach is the bank’s President and CEO. They have about 50 employees, but he feels they match up well against other companies when it comes to their level of giving to the campaign. He says they dug a little deeper in their own corporate pocketbook to match employee giving and go a little beyond that. Ninety-nine percent of what is given to the Fond du Lac Area United Way helps area non-profits and charities.
