Update Fatal Fire At Waupun Apartment Building
Waupun Fire Department officials have released the name of
the victim of a fatal apartment fire in the City Thursday night.
Fifty-four-year-old Todd Conn died in the fire that happened at an apartment
building ay 912 West Brown Street. The blaze affected 8 apartments and displaced
17 tenants. The building has a total of 24 apartments. A state fire marshal is
assisting in the investigation. Although the fire is not considered suspicious
the state becomes involved when there is a fire death. A Waupun Police officer
was treated at Waupun Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation and released. Eight
other fire departments helped fight the fire. It was reported just before 10

One person died in an apartment fire in Waupun late last night. The fire happened in the 900 block of West Brown Street just before ten o’clock. When firefighters arrived heavy smoke was coming from a first floor apartment. A Waupun police officer had to be treated for smoke inhalation at Waupun Memorial Hospital. The blaze affected 8 apartments and displaced 17 people. The Red Cross is assisting those families. A state fire mashal has been called in to help with an investigation into the blaze.
