Updated: Fatal Accident In Dodge County

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the names of those involved in a fatal two-vehicle accident in the Town of Lowell Wednesday morning. Twenty-nine-year-old Cory Larsen of Hartford was the driver whose car crossed over the centerline on Highway 16 and hit a pickup truck pulling a trailer. He died at the scene and his passenger 23-year-old Sally Williford of Stoughton was flown to the U-W Hospital in Madison. Twenty-year-old Allen Sappington of Orion, Illinois who was driving the truck, and his passenger 49-year-old David Garcia of Shiocton weren’t hurt.

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials tell us a 29-year-old Hartford man died during a two-vehicle accident in the Town of Lowell Wednesday morning. Shortly after 9:30 a 911 call reported a crash between a car and a pickup truck on Highway 16 between Fairwood Road and County Highway J. Sheriff’s officials say the Hartford man was driving a car that crossed over the center line and side swiped a pickup truck that was pulling an empty trailer. The Hartford man died at the scene of the crash. His passenger, a 23-year-old Stoughton woman was flown from the scene with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup wasn’t hurt. Names haven’t been released.
