UW-FDL Foundation Awards Scholarships

The University of Wisconsin- Fond du Lac Foundation has awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships to 39 new and continuing students for the academic year 2013-2014. The Scholarship Committee of the UW-FDL Foundation Board of Directors worked closely to read and evaluate about 60 applications before awarding the scholarships that ranged from $250 to $2,150 per student.

The awards included endowments and donor-named scholarships as well as general UW-Fond du Lac Foundation scholarships.

Scholarship recipients and their donors will have the opportunity to meet on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the annual UW-Fond du Lac Foundation Donor Recognition and Scholarship Awards Reception held in the University Commons.

A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Most Distinguished Alumni Award, which, this year, will be awarded to Scott Wittchow, retired managing editor of Action Publications. Wittchow is an active community volunteer and received the First Leadership Fond du Lac Alumni Award in 2003.
