UW-Oshkosh Campuses Working to Target Adult Learners

Reaching adult learners is going to be a major focus of
the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as the three campuses that make up the
university enter a new decade.

UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says they hope to
use all three campuses – but in particular their two-year access campuses in
Fond du Lac and the Fox Cities to do that. “You have a lot of folks in the Fox
Valley who have some college or some kind of incomplete credential that they need
to complete – whether its at a tech college, at one of our two-year campuses,
or with a four-year degree,” Leavitt explains.

He adds that as the use of technology continues to
increase, having a skilled and credentialed workforce is going to become more
and more important to meet the needs of industries across the region.
