UW Oshkosh Foundation Set to Sell Rosendale Biodigester

A judge is approving a plan from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Foundation to auction off one of two biodigesters this month – in order to pay off creditors. The biodigester located in Rosendale is set to be sold in an auction on August 27th. The biodigester operation converts animal waste into energy. The foundation reported “serious negotiations” over the property last month. There was $6.1 million owed on the biodigester when the foundation filed for bankruptcy in June 2016, and it’s unlikely the sale will meet the full amount the foundation owes.
