Vehicle Crashes Into Building In Berlin Friday

A one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Berlin damages several buildings. Berlin PD was called to the 200 block of Broadway St. in downtown Berlin at approximately 12:07 p.m., where a 2008 Ford Escape traveled off the road and crashed into several buildings. The buildings and the vehicle sustained moderate damage. 

The 42-year old female driver of the vehicle was assisted out of the vehicle by nearby witnesses, and was transported to Theda Care/Berlin Hospital for an injury assessment. Speed and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash, and it appeared the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
