Vehicle Lands In Beaver Dam Retention Pond, Driver OK

There were a few tense moments on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, when the Beaver Dam Fire Department received a call for a vehicle in the water on Gould St. When Fire Department Personnel arrived at 609 Gould St., they found a black Volkswagen sedan floating in the retention pond. 

It appears the vehicle had left Prospect Ave., and landed in the pond, but no reason as of yet what caused it to leave the road. The driver was able to exit the vehicle and was not injured. The vehicle floated to the middle of the pond and then sank to the bottom. Members of the Beaver Dam Fire Department dive team assisted with securing chains to the vehicle so it could be removed from the pond.
