Vehicle Loses Two Tires During Police Pursuit In FDL

Police arrested a 26-year-old Fond du Lac man who tried to get away from officers with a heavily damaged vehicle after he crashed it into a house early Tuesday morning. Fond du Lac Police officers saw the vehicle after it hit a home in the area of Division and Portland Streets. It had heavy front-end damage and was missing a rear tire, but the driver drove off at speeds reaching 50 miles an hour trailing a shower of sparks. The car lost another tire, but the driver continued. The vehicle came to a stop in the area of Johnson Street and Country Lane. Officers conducted a high risk traffic stop arresting the driver on several charges. A 34-year-old Fond du Lac woman who was with him was not charged. The pursuit was a little over a mile. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
