Vehicle Registration, Title Fees Increase Starting Today

The cost to register and own your vehicle in Wisconsin is
increasing starting today. Vehicle titles and registration fees are increasing
because of a provision in the 2019-2020 state budget. The Wisconsin Department
of Transportation says annual registration fees go up ten dollars from $75 to $85,
while the cost of a title increases from $69.50 to $164.50. The changes in fees
also include a $75 annual surcharge for a hybrid electric vehicle, or a car or
truck that is capable of using both electricity and gasoline, diesel fuel or
alternative fuel to make it run. See a full breakdown of fee changes here.
