Victims In Fatal Crash Identified, Had FDL, Lomira Ties
A woman, her 1-year old child, and an unborn child were killed in a multi-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.
Casey Lynn Schwartz had ties to both Fond du Lac and Lomira.
The crash occurred just before 5:45 a.m. Wednesday (6/22/2022) at the intersection of Hwy. 164 and Elmwood Rd., in the Town of Richfield.
Preliminary investigation showed a vehicle being operated by 30-year old Casey Lynn Schwartz of Mayville, was traveling south when it was rear ended by a 2nd vehicle. Schwartz’s vehicle was pushed into the northbound lane, where it was struck by another vehicle.
Casey, 1-year old child and unborn child were pronounced dead at the scene.
She was a 2010 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, and a member of the MPTC class of 2013, where she studied Child Development and Child Care. She was also a Lomira native.
A Brat Fry/Fundraiser continues Saturday from 10a-2p at Hoff’s Quality Meats in Brownsville. An online fundraiser had raised nearly $8,000 as of Saturday morning.
The accident remains under investigation.
