Violent Crime And Ambulance Calls Decline In Fond du Lac

Violent Crimes in Fond du Lac are down almost 6% so far in 2020, compared to the 2019 numbers. That’s the information released in the latest City Council recap presented to City Manager Joe Moore. And while the violent crime count declines, Year-To-Date crimes against people (increase of 177) and property (an increase of 80) are up 14% and 10% respectively. 


The latest numbers from Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue show Fire Calls involving alarms so far in 2020 were up 23% compared to a year ago, while False Alarms and False Calls dropped almost 22%. Ambulance calls were also down for the year, compared to a year ago. There have been a total of 3500 ambulance calls through the end of July, down 38% compared to 2019. 


City of Fond du Lac Director of Public Works Jordan Skiff reported there were 11 water main breaks repaired in July.
