Wachs Drops Out of Gubernatorial Race

For the second time this week – a Democratic candidate for governor has dropped out of the race. State Representative Dana Wachs of Eau Claire announced the end of his campaign on Friday. In a statement – the Democratic Party of Wisconsin thanked Wachs for his years of service and encouraged voters to elect one of the other candidates in their party. Milwaukee businessman Andy Gronik exited the race on Thursday. That leaves eight candidates on the ballot for the August primary – the winner will take on Governor Scott Walker in November as he seeks a third term.
