Walker Requests FEMA to Survey Damage

Governor Scott Walker has requested federal emergency management officials to survey flooding damage around the state later this month. FEMA is set to conduct assessments beginning on September 24th. This is the first step in the process of gaining a federal disaster declaration. Teams from FEMA and the Small Business Administration will work with local officials to view damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure – caused by recent storms. The survey is expected to take about a week.
