Walleye Weekend Economic Impact For Non-Profits More Than $225,000

Fond du Lac Festivals last night announced how much of an economic impact “Walleye Weekend” had on non-profit concessionaires, schools and service organizations. Festivals Board President Sam McClone says the impact was $225,529, $163,670 for non-profit concessionaires and another $61,859 for schools and service organizations. He says they wanted to make the community aware of how much is poured back into the community. Festivals Executive Director Leanne Doyle also announced a new initiative giving out the first ever Most Value Partner Award. Bill Agnew Vice President and General Sales Manager at Holiday Automotive accepted the award on behalf of Holiday. He says it was unexpected, but they are excited about it and appreciate the recognition. Doyle says Holiday provided Hole-in-One sponsorship, the transportation for .38 Special around town, and vehicles for the grounds and crew and the co-chairs for Walleye Weekend.
