Walleye Weekend Generous For Non Profits

Walleye Weekend generated more than $230,000 for non-profits who had booths and displays at this past June’s festival in Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park. Since 2012 the festival has provided nearly $1.3 million to participating organizations. Fond du Lac Festivals Executive Director Leanne Doyle says they have only been keeping track since 2012, but over the years the total impact has to be in the multi-millions of dollars. Forty-seven groups representing 38 organizations benefitted from the $230,000 in net proceeds this year. Meanwhile planning is underway for Walleye Weekend 2018, which should be special since it will be the 40th year for the event. Walleye Weekend 2018 will be June 8th through the 10th at Lakeside Park.
