Walleye Weekend Postpones To August, Fishing Tourney In June

The collective assumption was it would happen. It was the hope of thousands it would stay intact. Fond du Lac Festivals made the announcement early Friday morning that Walleye Weekend 2020, originally planned for June 12-14, will now be postponed until August. 

Dates have not yet been determined, but event organizers said, in a press release, “discussions with public health officials, city officials and event partners have led us to this decision.” Organizers of the Mercury National Tournament fully supported the decision, and have elected to keep the fishing tournament portion of the weekend in place, running June 13-14. The dates in August have yet to be determined, as the change poses many challenges with vendors and event partners, according to the press release.
