Washington County Gets First Candidate In Sheriff’s Race

Washington County Sheriff’s Captain Marty Schulteis is the first to toss his hat in the ring to become the County’s next Sheriff. Schulteis, who has more than 25 years experience with the department and is the current undersheriff, is running as a Republican. Sheriff Dale Schmidt announced earlier this week that he would not be seeking a 4th term.
