Waupun Man Arrested For 6th OWI
An OWI arrest from last year results in a 40-year-old Waupun man being sentenced to two years in prison. Ryan Mueller was found passed out in his car in a Kwik Trip parking lot at 5:00 a.m. on September 12, 2020. A clerk in the store said the man originally was walking and had been in the store. Upon arrival, Mayville police witnessed Mueller in the vehicle, with the keys in the ignition, but the car was not running. Mueller admitted to drinking too much, with an initial breathalyzer reading of .168. A Dodge County Circuit Court judge handed down the guilty sentence Friday, and in addition to the prison term, issued Mueller to 5-year extended service. Mueller also had his license revoked for two years and place an ignition interlock system on any vehicle he owns or operates for three years. This was Mueller’s sixth OWI conviction.
