Waupun Man Faces Arrest Warrant

A Waupun man who was scheduled to be in court on Monday, is now facing an arrest warrant for failing to show up. Timothy Savannah was due in court Monday, on a charge of fleeing, related to an August 16th traffic stop. Savannah was pulled over for speeding in a construction zone on Hwy. 151, and the deputy that made the stop smelled marijuana, and also noticed Savannah appeared to be under the influence. Savannah was asked to exit the vehicle, but instead hit the gas pedal and took off. A pursuit followed, with deputies calling off the chase just south of Hwy. 33. Savannah could face up to 3.5 years in prison.
