Waupun Man Facing Burglary Charge For Waupun Food Pantry Theft

A 42-year-old Waupun man is facing a felony burglary charge for stealing from the Waupun Food Pantry. Michael Fiedler was picked up on a Department of Corrections warrant at his home in August, but police later talked to him about a burglary that occurred at the pantry the previous day. Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says after hours’ video surveillance from the pantry was used to identify him.  Turns out Fiedler had stolen a key to the pantry and had taken food from it 3 to 5 times over the past year. On August 17th he allegedly took $28 and food from the pantry. He was released on a $1,000 signature bond and has a preliminary hearing in Dodge County Court on October 26th.
