Waupun Man Gets Deferred Prosecution Agreement On Stabbing Charge

The Waupun teen that allegedly stabbed a Randolph man has entered a deferred prosecution agreement with Dodge County prosecutors.  Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Core will avoid the felony charge of Injury by Negligent Use of a Weapon if he avoids trouble during the two years he’s on probation. A six month jail sentence was imposed and stayed for three misdemeanor charges. A comment posted on social media about a girl was the catalyst for the stabbing in front of a home in the 500 block of West Brown Street last September. An 18-year-old Randolph man suffered a two-inch cut to his arm and was treated at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
